About Coquito

On December 21st, 2018 we will celebrate the first ever National Coquito Day!

When it comes to celebrating the holidays in Puerto Rico, Don Q Coquito is king. This creamy, delicious coconut elixir is served at every party, social occasion and gathering during this festive season.

Coquito is Puerto Rico’s version of eggnog, with an island twist. The basic ingredients of this sweet, creamy coconut punch are condensed milk, evaporated milk, coconut cream, island spices and of course, Don Q rum.

There are many different takes on the basic Coquito recipe. Some people add egg yolks, some add flavors like coffee or chocolate. Each coquito recipe is an expression of our own tastes and inspirations. So, go on, get inspired and share something new with the world!

How to celebrate the day

On December 21st, we celebrate National Coquito Day by making, drinking, gifting or sharing homemade Don Q Coquito with friends and family. You can even call for a friendly Coquito competition among your friends. Winner takes bragging rights! National Coquito Day was made for sharing our holiday tradition with friends and family!
